Does everyone have a team together?
Broomball registration is coming up fast! On Sunday October 25th at 9:00 pm registration will officially be open for East Wads, West Wads, McNair, and DHH Leagues. Registration for Off Campus and Women’s leagues will open the same night at 10:00 pm. Times are split up to take a load off of the servers when everyone tries to register at the same time. Overall, it should help speed up the process.
For those of you who do not have a team ready to go, here are some useful tips. When picking out team members, remember that only five non-residents can be on any one team, and a team must also have a minimum of five residents. Everyone should read the rules, and captains should make sure players get their money in early. Finally… hurry! There are only a few more days left!
If there are any problems, questions, or concerns, feel free to contact your league head by visiting them during their office hours or sending them an email. A schedule and list of email addresses are available under Contact Information at http://www.broomball.mtu.edu/.
What could possibly be going on with broomball in October? While it might not be obvious, something broomball is happening nearly every week this month. First of all, on the 2nd there will be open ice time for players of all ages at the SDC from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. It's a part of Family Weekend, so bring your relatives along and let them give it a shot. There will also be a skills course on center ice and two exhibition games for your viewing pleasure. On the 10th, starting at 5:00 pm, there will be an Alumni Tournament featuring top teams from the past few years. These games will be intense; don’t miss it. You might also notice the rinks going up in their new location. Let that serve as a reminder for...
